A frightening good time was had at our Halloween party on Oct. 29. The event was well attended by 37 costumed children together with their parents and grandparents. The lodge served lunch, and the kids played many games for treats and prizes. Thank you to everyone who helped with this event. KSKJ St. Francis Lodge #29 and the Croatian Cultural Club will be hosting their 3rd Annual Slo-Cro Bean Bag Tournament on SATURDAY, AUG. 27. Proceeds will benefit the Joliet Area Community Hospice. If you aren’t Slovenian or Croatian, you can be one for the day. All you need to do is choose which team you would like to play on—Team Slovenia or Team Croatia. The tournament will be a blind draw (no pre-determined partners), single elimination, and you must be 21 years or older to participate (ID required). The championship game will be the best of two out of three games. Registration fee (by Aug. 17, 2011) is $10 per person. After Aug. 17, the fee will be $15 per person.
