President Churnovic read a thank you note from the family of Nathan Watson. Nathan had a heart transplant earlier this year, and our Matching Funds event was to raise funds for this. It was a combined effort between the Home Office, St. John Lodge #143, St. Francis Lodge #29 and St. Joseph Lodge #2. Together, we were able to raise over $12,000. Nathan is home now and doing well with his recovery.
Thanks to Hanna Hemmingson, who attended the Young Adult Leadership Conference in Minnesota, for writing to the lodge and telling us about her experience.
As everyone knows, we are looking for ways to get our youth more involved in our lodge activities.
